Parkman Sunglasses is the creation of two brothers, Christopher and Andrew, stemmed from a weekend road-trip to Maine. The initial premise was to make two pairs of personal wooden sunglasses.
"We start off by sorting through rough-cut lumber from select mills and lumberyards to find premier pieces. The process then includes milling, veneering, cutting, engraving, sanding and finishing. This is all done in our shop in Mountainside New Jersey. From start to finish, dialed precision is blended with the touch and feel of a seasoned craftsman. The combination of comfort and ease on large industrial machines, along with the finesse and patience required with timeless hand tools, creates the callused hands, dusty clothes and sawdust-covered floors proving our passion for creation and our persistence for excellence."
